Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, who receives it and how long we keep it, in line with the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, where it applies, Québec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector.
What we collect
- Free checkers: the numbers you type (for example headcounts). They are not linked to you and are not stored.
- Purchases: your business name, a role title and role email (we ask for role addresses such as hr@yourcompany.ca, not personal ones), your answers to the product questionnaire, and your order record (date, amount, email). Card details are entered on Stripe's page; we never see your card number.
- Reminders (optional): if you tick the box, your email and the wording you agreed to, with the date, as proof of consent.
- Messages you send us and basic server logs (IP address, page, time) kept for security for up to 30 days.
We do not use advertising cookies or analytics trackers on svprod.com, and we never sell personal information.
Why we use it
To generate and deliver what you bought, answer support and refund requests, keep the records tax law requires, prevent abuse, and send reminders only if you asked for them. Every reminder has a one-click unsubscribe, honoured within 10 business days.
Who receives it (service providers acting on our instructions)
- Fly.io: hosting of the site and its database, region Toronto, Canada.
- Stripe: payments; Stripe may store data in the United States.
- Cloudflare: domain name service and email forwarding.
How long we keep it
Questionnaire answers: deleted 90 days after purchase. Order records (date, amount, email): 7 years, for tax purposes. Reminder consent: until you unsubscribe, plus 3 years as proof of consent. Support emails: 2 years.
Your rights
You may ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, or withdraw consent, by writing to the person in charge above. We answer within 30 days. You may also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or, in Québec, the Commission d'accès à l'information.
Incidents and changes
We keep a register of confidentiality incidents and notify the regulator and affected people of any incident that presents a risk of serious harm. Changes to this policy are posted here with their date.
